Balance – How are your rooms?

There is an Indian belief that everyone is in a house of four rooms: A physical, a mental, an emotional and a spiritual. Most of us tend to live in one room most of the time, but unless we go into every room every day, even if only to keep it aired, we are not complete.”
— Rumer Godden, English novelist

It’s not a new idea that we need balance to be complete. But how many people actually achieve it?

Some people live so much in their bodies – they’re running around, eating right and getting plenty of exercise. Nothing wrong with that! Unless they’re exercising compulsively and maybe not nourishing the rest of their needs.

Or how about the people who live in their heads? They’re always thinking, doodling, plotting and planning. (I’m one of those people.) And it can be so tempting to do just one more thing, write one more paragraph, think something else, and forgo exercise or spiritual practice.

Other people are intensely involved in their emotional life, measuring how they feel internally about everything that comes up. That can be a great way of checking in with their Unconscious Mind, as that’s where the emotions live, but some people hop from one emotional state to another without any balance or peace of mind.

And then there are spiritual people who would prefer to meditate or pray to the exclusion of everything else.

I really like that idea of just airing the room – making sure that you’re doing at least one small thing in each of those areas. Because it’s true – when you take care of your body, stimulate your mind, honour your emotions and feed your spiritual side, life just flows. It’s easy. Effortless. Fun. Happy.

So here are a handful of suggestions for each of those areas, click here for the rest of this story!

Time to take stock & stock up for the Fall.

My resolution this fall is to keep it simple and have what I need on-hand. So … today I stocked up on vitamin & supplement “musts” for me and Michael. I order in bulk and at a discount through eVitamines who also keeps track of what I order so refills are fast and easy.

Another plus — with orders over $100 I get free shipping.

So – If you want to pay less AND not pay for gas to drive to a store where you’d pay retail, I suggest you give them a visit and win * win too!

Here’s my list. It is short, focuses on the basic must haves with attention to energy boosting opportunities.

Note: All morning supplements are taken at least 2 hours before coffee for best results.

Note: I take this when I notice the 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. fatigue coming back … I took the Serum Ferritin Test some years back and I was borderline anemic. Ever since then I just pay attention and take liver tabs as needed. ALWAYS take with lemon water to protect the
liver.

Frugal Price Alert – Spelt Flour – Healthy Alternative to White & Wheat Flour

I discovered the joy of spelt flour thanks to my husband’s intolerance of wheat, white, corn and “you-name-it” flours. According to the Blood Type Diet, the most common blood type which is “Type O” is just meant to eat meat, select veggies and grains and definitely not wheat.

So I went hunting for a bread substitute which led me to spelt flour, something all the blood types digest well and is delicious. Did I also mention what a picky eater Mikey is?

The best pricing I’ve found is at PurityFoods.com. I just placed an order for a 25lb bag. Total is $52.25 with shipping or $2.09/lb. And … they are including a sample of their sesame sticks and granola cereal for me to try before I buy. Right on!

So as my bread machine toils below I am sitting pretty on a darn good value. You could be next, click here for more info: http://www.purityfoods.com/

Psst. I am not paid to promote this product, just a happy customer who can’t wait to see the happy look on hubby’s face when he comes through the front door smelling hot, fresh bread for din din.

Psst again. To learn more about the Blood Type Diet and other resources I’ve used to get my energy back and help my husband, please visiit my fatigue recovery resource page at: http://www.fatiguebegone.com/self_help_books_list.htm

Allow the goodness, abundance & joy

I needed to read this today. Maybe you do too. Well — here it is! Enjoy and allow …

Allow the goodness.

Whatever you allow to hold you back will hold you back. Whatever you allow to push you forward will push you forward.

There are many factors, circumstances and influences that will flow through your life. Whether each one is a liability or an asset is, for the most part, up to you.

Great disappointments and tragedies can arise out of seemingly perfect situations. And magnificent achievements can come from desperate, seemingly hopeless conditions.

What matters most is not the nature of your situation. What matters most is what you take from it and what you do with it.

Even in places and pursuits where others may have failed, you have the opportunity to succeed. Even those factors that may have held others back can be your motivation to move forward.
Many things may seem inevitable, and yet most things are really not. No matter what life may send your way, choose to use it in a positive, productive and valuable manner.

Allow the goodness, the abundance, the joy, and they will be.
