What is – Who is B.O.B?

Some people call “it” B.O.B., “Belly Over Belt.” Others call it “Muffin Top.” One thing is for sure — there’s nothing cute or fun about Toxic Belly Fat.
Toxic Belly Fat is a culprit in many of our lifestyle dis-eases including fatigue. It shows up in acid reflux, sleeping disorders including sleep apnea, migraine head-aches, diabetes, stroke and cancer. Do you, or does someone you love, have it?

How to identify Belly Fat Syndrome:

  • 1. Measurements matter. Use a measuring tape to measure the belly in question … If you are a woman with a waistline (measured across the belly button) of more than 35 inches pay attention. If you are a man with a waistline of more than 40 inches – ditto.
  • 2. Do you have one or more of these abnormalities: High blood sugar; High triglycerides; Low HDL; High LDL and/or high blood pressure?
  • 3. You are at HIGH risk of Toxic Belly Fat Syndrome if you have two of more of these abnormalities and a super-sized belly.

Now what?

Take Care of Your Body

Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.
-Jim Rohn

I love that quote! Says it all, doesn’t it?

This week my goal is to up my exercise. That is one area where I have been a-laggin. The specific goal is to have 3 gym sessions – a combo of flexibility (stretching every morn for ten minutes); aerobic (bicycle machine/treadmill) and strength training (weights). Last week I did the walk through with a trainer so I know what to do with these weights – finally!

So do clipart-exerciseyou have a goal for this week – this month? Is so – GREAT! If not, start something that gets your body moving … the more you move the better you’ll feel physically and mentally. I love the creative ideas that pour through me when I am in the “Zen” of a mindless cardio workout like walking or biking. With everything that is going on around us – now is a good time to be relaxing, rejuvenating and coming up with new ideas …   Have a great day out there!

It’s Fruit & Veggie Day!

Join us for Fruit & Veggie Day!

Join us for Fruit & Veggie Day!

I really look forward to Mondays these days. It feels GREAT to be taking good care of myself and filling up on the “good stuff.” (Do you know that country song?!) It is also a treat to have a day off from cooking, prepping and cleaning up. I figure this activity gives me at least two hours of FREE time – me time while re-energizing, healing and thrilling my body. What a GREAT way to start the week!

Adding into the practice today … I am taking the day off from T.V. and radio.

Was just reading that “TV viewers are 47 percent less likely to walk 10,000 steps than nonwatchers. And, scientists now know that for every hour of TV you watch, you reduce the number of your steps by 144.” Source: Fit to Live: The 5-Point Plan to be Lean, Strong, and Fearless for Life

With an extra two hours in my day I think I can fit in a little extra walking … hmmm. What else?

What about you?

What’s the rush? NO – Don’t Rush – STOP.

What is important is seldom urgent and what is urgent is seldom important
– President Eisenhower

Our politicians are in a hurry to take over our excellent health care. Instead of talking to us – gathering our input – they are pushing fast to ram through their version of “care.” Why? Follow the money … they just can’t get their hands on it fast enough.

The thought of having officious idiots – the kind that run my Home-owner’s Association – deciding my care makes me want to puke.

Heal Yourself Talk Radio Interview with Dr. Eric Pearl!

Dr, Eric PearlToday, Friday, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Rebecca White, Founder of Heal Yourself Talk, will be interviewing Dr. Eric Pearl, author, The Reconnection: Heal Others, Heal Yourself.

Rebecca hosts a weekly radio show and interviews outstanding doctors, specialists, healers and best-selling authors on the topic of self-healing. (Check out her past shows too.)

Dr. Pearl has an amazing story to share … As a doctor, he ran a highly successful chiropractic practice for 12 years until one day when patients began reporting that they felt his hands on them – even though he hadn’t physically touched them. For the first couple of months, his palms blistered and bled. Patients soon reported receiving miraculous healings from cancers, AIDS-related diseases, epilepsy, chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, birth disfigurements, cerebral palsy and other serious afflictions. All this occurred when Eric simply held his hands near them – and to this
